Abstract
Benoit Frydman reviews Paul Martens's book entitled 'Theories of Law and Contemporary Legal Thought', praising the meditative and pluralistic approach of this great magistrate who, while situating himself in the Kelsenian tradition, mobilizes the study of real cases to offer a critical reflection on the transformations of the State and the role of the judge, particularly when the latter is called upon to judge power. Benoit Frydman recense l'ouvrage de Paul Martens intitulé « Théories du droit et pensée juridique contemporaine », saluant l'approche méditative et pluraliste de ce grand magistrat qui, en s'inscrivant dans la filiation kelsenienne, mobilise l'étude de cas réels pour proposer une réflexion critique sur les transformations de l'État et le rôle du juge, particulièrement lorsque celui-ci est amené à juger le pouvoir.
