Abstract
This collective work examines the enduring intellectual influence of Chaïm Perelman on the philosophy of law and rhetorical theory, exploring how his New Rhetoric fundamentally reconceptualized legal reasoning through argumentation, the concept of the universal audience, and the integration of values into rational discourse. The contributors demonstrate how Perelmanian thought has transformed contemporary legal methodology, judicial interpretation, and legal teaching methods within the Brussels School, establishing a pragmatic approach to law that articulates formal logical analysis with the communicative, procedural, and deliberative dimensions essential to democratic justice systems.

Cet ouvrage collectif examine l'influence intellectuelle durable de Chaïm Perelman sur la philosophie du droit et la théorie rhétorique, explorant comment sa Nouvelle rhétorique a fondamentalement reconçu le raisonnement juridique par l'argumentation, le concept d'auditoire universel et l'intégration des valeurs au discours rationnel. Les contributeurs démontrent comment la pensée perelmanienne a transformé la méthodologie juridique contemporaine, l'interprétation judiciaire et les méthodes d'enseignement du droit au sein de l'École de Bruxelles, établissant une approche pragmatique du droit qui articule l'analyse logique formelle avec les dimensions communicationnelles, procédurales et délibératives essentielles aux systèmes de justice démocratiques.
